Recent browsers such as Chrome and IE8 have a privacy mode, where the pages you view are not recorded in history lists etc. I realise for a personal device like an N900 this may not be as much of a concern, but I dare say everyone will be handing it around to show the device off in the first few months! Is this an option in the browser? If not, how is it at clearing browsing history?

It's Firefox and has support for addons. Also there will be Fennec that also supports add-ons. There's a good change that you will have an add-on to keep your holiday shopping a secret.

Its really not that surprising. Several reports have already shown that the greater majority of data traffic on mobile devices is porn related.

I just use different firefox profiles. and there are other sensitive things such as saved password and what-not. I just create a new firefox profile anytime someone wants to borrow my computer. I haven't really tried this much with my N810 because people always get confused on how to use it so I just let them use my laptop.
