Hello, I'm new to n900 & maemo. When I'm browsing the repo, I usually see 2 kinds of files, 1 is armel and the other i386. For example:

tuner_0.1.0_armel.deb
tuner_0.1.0_i386.deb

My question is:
1) Which one is suitable for nokia n900?
2) Why is there 2 'versions'?

u want the armel one. The other one is for Desktop computers.

It has to do with the processor inside, ARM vs Intel

The i386 version is for the sdk. The N900 simulator that runs on the desktop would use those files.

You don't want either ;-) - the Application Manager will download the correct one (armel for device, i386 for SDK).
