Having managed to compile a new(ish) kernel that boots, I'm now trying to get a useable debian sid install on sd for my N800...

I followed this guide:

http://natisbad.org/N810/index.html

and have managed to use debootstrap to install a debian base system that boots to the login prompt.

My problem is that there is no virtual keyboard and the touchscreen seems not to be working (mouse cursor doesnt move). I have installed the packages for both (from the guide, which uses some packages from the jaunty on n8x0 thread).. such as nokia-tablet-pointercal and matchbox-keyboard, along with xdm login manager..

Any tips from those with working debian installs on how to get a virtual keyboard to login with... and get the touchscreen device functional?
