sudo gainroot
apt-get install unzip
must enable extras-testing repo
then, on xterm
sudo gainroot
cd (location of file.zip)
file.zip unzip
it shuold extract on the same location.
for more info. use the Search option

After installing unzip as an add-on for filemanager from extras-devel you can just doubleclick from the standard filemanager. No Xterm needed and easy..

BTW, after adding those add-ons, search for an app named "x-archiver" i do not know if that app is free (coz i saw try and more info when i download)

well that is a good news,
