Hey everyone,

Is it possible to pair the N800 with a Blackberry Pearl, then use the Pearl to connect to the internet when there is no WiFi around?

Thanks for any help.

Hi. To answer your question - No!

It should be possible but for some reason although the N800 & the Pearl will pair, the Pearl cannot connect for internet usage. I have a Pearl and have been searching for a solution - no luck

Answer - Get a new phone (thats what i'm doing)

Wonder if it will work with the Blackberry 8800 or the new iPhone? Anyone know?

I had a Cingular branded 8800, and could not get it to work with my N800. Just like you said, it would show up in the Phone Manager, but could not connect to the internet. After much legwork, I got in touch with a senior tech support employee at RIM that confirmed that the 8800 could not be used via bluetooth to connect the N800 to the internet. I can't imagine that the Pearl would be much different. I swapped my 8800 for the poor battery life of the Nokia N80, and it works just fine.
