My N900 goes online by it self and sends and receives data, I don't have clue why?!
I solved it by change 'internet connections' under 'settings' to 'always ask'. So now, it never goes online even if I initiate a application which want to go online, I never get any question.

Now on to my questions:
Is there anyway to check which application is creating this activity?
Why doesn't I get the question, if I want to go online?

Is there any way to show us your application list? I know you can see an application list when you make a 'backup' file...

by the way, welcome to maemo.org

I have maybe 40 applications installed and probably 2-8 of them wants to go on-line to get some updates. So no, it's no wonder my phone goes on-line by it self.

But I wanted to know if there anyway to check which application is sending and receiving for the moment and that the N900 should ask me if I have changed the 'internet connection' to 'Always ask'.

Well, thanks for your replies.

A good bet would be the system software update which by default checks for updates every day. This means that it refreshes all your catalogs.

Read the "Customizing Maemo" article in the wiki about how to change this.

If you want to know the destination IP addresses you can get them from running wireshark. I used it last week to sort out some NFS problem I was having.
