Look to the bottom left of the N900 screen (camera mode) you will see:
[999] [memory card] [5MP]
Touch the memory card to change to your location.
Or you could simply go to general settings by tapping the top of the screen.

if that's true, however, you could always symlink ~/MyDocs/DCIM to another folder on your device which should do the trick.
I know this is a very basic question, but I do not realize how can I change this.
Do you know how can I change the location where the camera application saves its pictures?
The default location is:
/home/user/MyDocs/DCIM
