I have been using GPE Calendar for some time now with no problems. I've just started having this problem.

When GPE Alarm goes off all I see is a white screen. There are no buttons to press to acknowledge and silence the alarm. Also, the alarm sound is scratchy and stops now and then.

I have tried uninstalling GPE Calendar and re-installing it, but, the problem persists.

Any ideas?

There are not many N8X0 users left. Answers may be scarce...when was the last time you reflashed?

Perhaps addison could help?

Why me?

I'm like one of the dumbest posters here. *lol*

Well, my best guess would be some app is causing a memory leak.

Switch off and turn back on your tablet.

Or in Xterm

root
reboot -n

Tried:

root
reboot -n

and the alarm started as soon as I opened GPE Calendar and again the screen was blank with no buttons to acknowledge the alarms

Settings, Control Panel, Memory...

What is it saying for Device?

The only other thing I can think of is to sniff around in /home/user/ and delete the config file if you can find it.

For device it shows

Total size 14.42 GB
In use 1.20 GB
Available 13.22 GB

In /home/device there is only one file and a diectory. The file is: nano.save and the directory is MyDocs and I can't find a config in it

In /home/user/.gpe/ the is
calendar
categories
todo

No config file.

There is /home/user/.gpe-calendar that you might want to delete.

There's also /home/user/.gpe-calendar-rendezvous though I don't know what kind of file this is.

I just know when you uninstall something, the config file is usually not deleted so for everything to reset back to normal, you need to find it and delete it manually.

Do you know if GPE Alarm uses the same alarm system as the default clock app or large statusbar clock app? Do you use ASUI?

It kind of uses the same input box for setting the time, only more complicated.

It is using a different alarm system than anything that comes stock on the tablet.
