Staying in germany for a long time, in a hotel that has T-mobile hotspot, I decided to abondon the iodine frustration and buy T-mobile internet access. This requires logging in every few minutes. I found a script on the web, but it required a few changes. The attached python script works on both N810 and a PC. Will probably work on windows or MacOSX with python installed.

It might also be hotspot specific, so please report if it works for you or not.

I don't install proprietary software unless I really have to. I certainly won't do it to replace a 10 lines script.

Is there a solution to logon to a t-mobile hotspot (or others like "fon") automatically if there is a proper hotspot available?

Is this hotspot WiFi?
If so, than you just need to once connect to this spot by wifi manager.

And you should check settings in menu/settings/internet connections
Check box "Switch to Wifi connection when available.
Phone will be switch to WiFi connection (only to which you already connect once) automatically.
