Hello,

I have a strange problem and it's very disapointing.
Since some days, my GPS don't want to fix it!
It's not a OVi map problem because I have this problem again with Sigic but really a GPS problem.

I don't understand why the GPS doesn't work yet and how to fix it?

How to test if the GPS turn-on really?

Thank you for helping and for suggestion :-)...

I fix it using supl.google.com in 'Paramètres / Positionnement' whereas supl.nokia.com!

supl.nokia.com don't work again?

It's not a problem, supl.google.com is faster !

Yes, the N900 is the best !

If you happen to have the latest CSSU applied, it seems as though it takes ages to lock on using nokia SUPL server.

The bug was created by me and was closed by me because I found out changing to google SUPL server instead made tracking a lot quicker.

I guess this is an intermittent issue with various N900 owners being affected in the process.

Once you fix the "1" and "l'" in your URL's it should work.

Why are people still blaming the CSSU for this?
liblocation was NOT changed and will NOT be changed since it's closed source.

Maybe its just a coincidence, but the problem occured just after installing CSSU 16.8 (which itsself is great btw. ). Did someone capture and compare the frame contents of the supl server requests before and after CSSU update?

Sorry guys and girls, installed the latest CSSU a while ago, my Sygic kept on working ever since.
A few days ago when i couldn' t get a fix in 5 minutes i started to search why, replaced then supl.nokia.com with google, and it went even better, so i think it has nothing to do with CSSU but i blame it on nokia

try to have a look at the link below, i had the same problem and now have sorted. I think cssu HAS got to do with it because that app i noticed was actually installed after the cssu upgrade.

good luck, and please report back....
