The vibrate feedback for incoming calls, messages alerts etc is too weak.

Bug has been submitted, help make the N9 better by voting for it here:

I believe its software, as the vibration from the highest setting of haptic feedback seems quite strong, it seems the phone ringing and vibration levels are just set to a strangely low level :S

Well Nokia do at least know how to build a decent phone, just apparently don't know how to support it..

I've seen some users setting volume higher than the GUI allows, & claiming that the output's poor.
I also recall reading that Nokia kept volume low-ish, because there's too much reverberation.
The same could be true for vibration. But, the only way to know is to experiment (carefully) I guess!

Lets see what they say in the "bug", they may give pointers on how to adjust vibrate via the terminal (prolly already doco'd for the N900).
We have to remember what CG explained about the bug-tracker though, they're not Nokia Support.

Your N9 is vibrating while on the phone? Thats strange xD
