Right, now I have an almost working phone. Just a few more annoying things:
1) Can the calendar default alarm turned off for new entries?
2) Can I make the calendar _widget_ open the month view instead of darned agenda?
3) How do I select pieces of text in microb, for copying?
4) Any chance of getting modest understand Gmail folder structure? E.g. setting path of sent items folder.

Nokia made excellent hardware and a software platform 95 percent ready for great user experience, and now they are abandoning it. Fools.

For the 3rd request, swipe your finger from left screen border to the right and pick the mouse arrow icon, than select the text.
