I wonder if what are other capabilities our great uber-smartphone n900,since mozilla's mobile OS was linux-based.

it could run it, sure, but why would anyone bother with OS that runs only web apps when we have native apps, same goes for html5 app running tizen...

@GrimyHR: didn't we laugh at the iphone fanbois for having hundreds of "apps"* when really all you need is a decent web browser?


[*] Thousands of so called "apps" on Apple app store, Google marketplace and Ovi store are just a thin UI veneer to present website information in a simplified/convenient/restricted format on the target device.

Unless the so-called App does something native like format converter, file executor, media creator, work (email/spreadsheet etc), emulator (dosBox etc), and games.

Belive it or not, most of the world has slow unreliable internet at ridiculous prices with many IP restrictions.
