I support the idea but I have adblock on so it wont really impact me.
edit: How about directing the money towards a quarterly app contest to stimulate development instead?
I'd even turn off adblock for that.

Not a bad idea, but the problem is that maemo.org is owned by Nokia, so it's not so easy to do it... Especially when using a product that's not Nokia's...

The site is simply hosted by Nokia I think..but I suppose it isn't viable then..will need a lot of infrastructure..but a lot of earning potential going to waste here..essentially the people who frequent this site stand to benefit
For example, a fixed amount can be credited to them for every app downloaded (per registered n900/maemo device).
What say..
