Pyrecipe has stopped updating for many years. In spite of many modern apps, I still use it. I recently did a minor update myself (I am not the original author) to add very small but practical-critical features that has been waited for a long time.
In short words, these are the updated 'small' features:
1. add confirmation dialog when delete all ingredients or shopping list items.
2. this is most important: automatically retrieve ingredients from recipe for use in shopping list.
3. make the recipe image larger.

I will upload the updated files if some of you still use it and need an update.
(The update is based on os2008, however, I don't touch the interface, it should work with newer version)

Edit:
Two files (in the zip file) that have been modified are attached here. A screen shot of shopping list that are retrieved from recipe ingredients is attached here too.
Note The two attached files are for pyrecipe version 0.1.4, os2008. For other versions and os, don't use the following method to update!
Unzip the attached file and copy the two *.py files in it to /usr/share/pyrecipe/. Of course, you need root. The commands are:
First, please backup the original two files:
Code:
sudo cp -a /usr/share/pyrecipe/pyrecipe.py pyrecipe.py.bak
sudo cp -a /usr/share/pyrecipe/shopping_list.py shopping_list.py.bak
then copy the unziped two py files:
Code:
sudo cp pyrecipe.py shopping_list.py /usr/share/pyrecipe/
To use, after open the recipe window, select one or more recipes then open shopping list, the ingredients of the selected recipes will show up in the shopping list window.
