Being generally *very* fond of my n900 I had some trouble last week - after upgrading to firmware 1.2:
It happened a few times that the phone didn't react anymore - the screen stayed black - and it felt rather warm. Pressing the on-button for a longer time managed to reboot it though. I checked the battery (with battery eye - thanks to the author of this one!) and saw that during this time it drained rapidly - at this rate it would have been dry within an hour or so. I think maybe wifi has got something to do with it because i played around with locking into public networks at the time (not being at home).
Any hints? Anybody experienced similar behaviour? Is there a piece of software out there to log activity of the n900? (cpu, wifi, etc.)
