So 2008 OS will finally bring WMV support ?? Woo hooo, perhaps this has already been mentioned somewhere, burried in n810 questions threads

Remember that not all versions of a format are supported, as stated in the instruction manuals. I don't think it'll play anything larger than 320x240 though. The exact size is also listed in the N810 manual. I know ThoughtFix had some trouble when trying WMV last night, but he doesn't have a final version of IT2008... so we'll see.

Regarding wmv.... i have an interesting idea.

There is this plugin for firefox called media player connectivity which actually uses the stream address to stream wmv content to the media player. If some one could port that addon to the microb that would be great and we could make use of so many live video streams which unfortunately use the crappy wmv!

It would be nice if XviD was included, why leave it out? It's open source and ideal for mobile devices..

Edit: Oh, is that what they mean with MP4?

Different 'brands' put their own stamp/wrapper around 'mp4' files, unfortunately adding to confusion and compatibility problems.
