This little widget displays the current skill training of an EVE online character on the homescreen.

Features:
-display the skill in training and completion time
-auto refresh when the connection is active
-remember user ID, API key and character list

Screenshot:

Configuration:

It's not in extras-devel yet, i'll upload as soon as I have the ability to do that. The package is available in the garage project page:
https://garage.maemo.org/projects/evehomescreen

To install this you will need the QT4 and libqtm-bearer packages from extras-devel.

Have fun! All feedback is very much appreciated.

EDIT:
Version 0.0.4 is out. The improvement in this release is a small UI change. The training text now changes color when there is room in the training queue, i.e. 24h before the queue ends.

It's written in QT, hence the requirement for QT4 libs in the bottom of the original post

I'm trying to find the 2 packages you mention in devel, but am not finding them. Could you be more specific on their names in devel?

Edit: Believe I found it under libqtm-examples. A 17MB package that includes all of the above mentioned dependencies. We'll see.

Edit #2: Nope still need the following files:
libqt4-maemo5-maemo5
qt4-maemo5-homescreen-loader

2d

Huh, I'm excited!
I couldn't get widgets to work with Qt.

Is your code open source?

@2disbetter:
For the required packages to be installable you need the extras-devel repository. The packages should be found there if there hasn't been any recent developments. The qt4-maemo5-homescreen-loader should also be there.

@Venemo:
Yes, the code is GPL licenced. I took the homescreen bits from an example found at
http://labs.trolltech.com/blogs/2010...creen-widgets/

I took the code from there, too.
But it didn't even compile.

After taking out some code from it and putting it into my application, it compiled, but didn't work.
Here's the thread about it, but noone cared to answer.

I'd be grateful if I could look at your code.

I replied in the other thread, I believe it's an issue with the QT version.

Next version is out, uploaded to extras-devel. Update yours when hot! Probably still unstable so please let me know via the bug tracker in the project page if it doesn't work.

Another version (0.0.4) out. This one tells if there is room in the skill queue by changing the text color of the widget. Just submitted this one to the extras-devel queue.

After this I don't have any big plans, so I'm open to suggestions.
