Hi All,

I've just installed a game call "Blobwars", since doing that, I can't actually load the game.
I can't add shortcuts or widgets to my desktop.
I can't uninstall "blobwars" from the app manager.
I really don't know what to do. Is there a way I can uninstall it from terminal or something?

Please help
Thanks
Chris

Some more looking into this shows the following:
When trying to use apt-get remove.
It fails because it says thre is a missing file/directory called
"/home/user/.parallelrealities"
So this might explain why it won't work either. The problem now is how the hell do I uninstall this or reinstall over it?

Create the missing directory and try to remove the package again?

It looks like a bad package. Did you get it from Extras-devel?

yip that seems to have allowed me to uninstall the app.
Yip dodge package from devels it seems.
Although it does work for some people which is strange.

The problem now is that I still can't add shortcuts or widgets, is there a log I can check to see why this is not working?

You know, if people would just do this before installing stuff from dangerous repositories, all would be well

1) make a backup using that wonderful backup app
2) install the "bork device app of the day"
3) bork bork bork
4) reflash to whatever firmware version you were running before
5) restore from backup

Hey, look - you're exactly where you were before!

Before I hear you whine "that's too much work" - stay out of the not-for-general-release repositories if its too much work.

easy bro...
It's not too much work, and I know how to do a retore backup etc, and I know about testing and devels etc.
The reason I posted here is because maybe someone could help me solve the problem through find out what it is rather than just rebuild my phone.

That's not a rebuild. That's SOP for testing "testing" apps. They can bork so much you'll never be sure what state your device is in.

Backup/test/flash/restore. Takes about 20 minutes, other then the "testing" bit. You've probably spent more time then that already trying to avoid "rebuilding" your phone.

my terminology was wrong he he he sorry about that.
I do see you point, but to be honest I like to try and work out what went wrong first. I did actually manage to get the phone fixed without having to flash it.
You point is valid and you probably right it would save time to just flash and restore .
Thanks for the advice
