Has anybody ever experienced the N900 showing sim not inserted even when one is? I have a buyer who claims this is happening 2 weeks after she bought it and sent me a pic which shows the phone is physically damaged. You cant claim its not working after dropping it!!! But did anyone experience this?

yes it has happened to me within 3 days of getting my n900, i took it out and cleaned it and tried in in my n95-8gb and the sim was ok so i put it back in the n900 and it still didnt work.
i took it out yet again and gave it even more of a clean and it worked again and seems ok upto now.
i dont understand it though because the sim wasnt dirty.

Yes it happened to me too about two times. I rebooted and it was OK.
