For some reason Modest has decided to go crazy. Whatever it is doing it is causing the tablet to spontaneously shut down. Accounts seem to be screwed. Trying to re-input them is resulting in very odd behavior. I've looked in the home folder and the apps folder in order to remove remnants of accounts but each time I launch modest it comes up with old mail counts even though I have no accounts set up. When I set up an old account the old mail shows right back up as if I didn't do anything. So anyone know just where modest is keeping it's account information so I can clear it out? I really do not want to reflash this thing over mail.

Thanks.

Try to remove two modest directories in X-Term root shell -

rm -fr /home/user/.modest
rm -fr /var/lib/gconf/apps/modest

and reboot a N900.

Any mail and modest connections can be lost.

Curiously, I just had the same problem on my N810. Removing those two directories got it working again. Thanks!
