Need help! All my pictures are gone from the picture viewer. They are still on the N900 and memory card, but just could view via the viewer. I've restarted the phone and each time need to wait for "Retrieving information on the new media files. Estimated time remaining...". Thanks.

Edit: I've lost all my music and video files from the media player as well

I tried running tracker-processes -r but still unable to get my files back...

Any other suggestions? help?

run it as a normal user not in root

Great news!

The Tracker-processes worked! Managed to get my files back after restarting the phone.

i had the same problem i resolved in that way too
