Hello,

like everyone here I am waiting for the N9 announcement. Before I choose this phone over an Android handset I'd like to know that there are some third party apps available. I am presuming nokia is launching this with a fully functional app for navigation and a media player...but how about an Office App, Ebook reader and Youtube client? How about third party games? I seriously don't want to have to wait around for things to be released like with the n900/

no one knows - you just have to wait.

that is why there is such speculation everywhere.

Nokia proprietary apps and Intel apps will be available when MeeGO is released.

we can only guess...
http://meegozone.com/partner/partners/

There's an office app built in Qt called KOffice recently renamed to Calligra. I'm sure it will show up on Meego as it was already demonstrated.

The apps store is called Intel AppUp btw, but you can't browse it yet (for MeeGo), there's nothing ready.

Sygic is a partner for GPS software, so you should have a choice of paying for their app or using whatever Nokia bundles.

Sorry if this is a noob question, but I though most of the apps on maemo 5 could be easily ported to meego?

Hopefully they will bundle Flash 10.1 for the N900, which has also been demonstrated.

Thanks for the link to the presentation. Interesting stuff. I liked the reference to the Linuxhotel.
