hi guys,
i've got this N900, it was fine and super awesome
just one day ago, i've got a call, only the ring tone !! the screen was black. i tried to answer it, but NO, i shutdown the mobile, reboot .! but no as well, not even Nokia LOGO.

thought of re-flash the system. and DONE.! reflashed eMMC.bin and the OS as well.

but still no booting, when i turn it on, all i get is a white LED turned into yellow after a while, and hold on to this status !!

could anyone - for the love of god - help me, i'm losing it

Try to use latest firmware and emmc image,

RX-51_2009SE_20.2010.36-2_PR_COMBINED_MR0_ARM.bin
and RX-51_2009SE_10.2010.13-2.VANILLA_PR_EMMC_MR0_ARM.bin

Both are global region images, hope this will fix you issue.

i've tried them, and successfully were able to flash them, the problem remains; no boot, no nokia logo while starting, just a white LED, turned into yellow after a while and remain in this shape for ever .!

Did you try charge?
Yellow is charge light.
Leave it on charge or have you got a wall charger (standalone battery charger)?

Or is it something different... You LCD backlights working??

i'm sure it's nothing about the battery, the device is charging it very well, i've got the green light on, which means there is no problem charging the battery.

the problem with either the software, or the hardware.
the LCD backlight is working, but still, as mentioned above, the Nokia logo doesnt appear !! what could be the problem

one more question, could the "wrong flash" cause any damage to the hardware ?!

How what did you flash? Did you flash the emmc? did you do it seperate or combined? If you did it seperate did you do the emmc first then rootfs?

separated, the eMMC first(RX-51_2009SE_10.2010.13-2.VANILLA_PR_EMMC_MR0_ARM.bin
), and then the roots (RX-51_2009SE_3.2010.02-8_PR_COMBINED_MR0_ARM.bin)

i used flasher-3.5

That is an older rootfs try

RX-51_2009SE_20.2010.36-2_PR_COMBINED_MR0_ARM.bin

I would charge it till you have green then do the emmc and then the above

Don't do them separately.. do them together one after the other directly.
Code:
flasher-3.5 -F RX-51_2009SE_10.2010.13-2.VANILLA_PR_EMMC_MR0_ARM.bin -f
flasher-3.5 -F RX-51_2009SE_20.2010.36-2_PR_COMBINED_MR0_ARM.bin -f -R
You could also try to change the order of the images if the above doesn't work. Although that is not the normal procedure.

When you flash.. do you see the usb and Nokia logo? It is very faint but can be seen better infront of a lamp. If you do not see anything it could be a hardware failure..

You could also try to connect it to your tv.. if this works and the screen on the N900 still is black then it is probably hardware.

if you still have guarantee try to use it or buy a new screen and switch. They are not that expensive and fairly easy to change. Do not try to find the cheapest spare part though.. they are mostly junk.
