I am running gpe-calendar 0.73-21 (as labeled in the application manager), running the firmware before the latest (I have SDHC cards and the latest firmware appears to create problems for these cards, so I haven't updated to the latest firmware version) and when I close the calendar I get a dialog box with the text "library routine called out of sequence" and an OK button. Pressing the OK button only brings up the same diaglog box, endlessly. I have to reboot the tablet in order to get control back. Is this a version update issue? If there is a newer version of this app, and I don't have the latest firmware loaded, will it work?

which version of the calendar are you using. I tried to install the newest (experimental) one by accident and it did something similar.

I find these varioius GPE repositories very confusing, I never know which one to use.

The GPE Calendar I have installed is shown in application manager as 2.7+maemo+svn20070728-1 and comes from here http://linuxtogo.org/~florian/maemo/index.html

Anyway, it won't close either and I am on the latest firmware.

If you press OK enough times, it will close -- I think my highest count was 72 (or something like that). Seriously.

Anyway, I:
  1. Installed Emerinig: http://maemo.org/downloads/product/erminig/
  2. Synced my GPE Calendar to my Google Calendar.
  3. Uninstalled GPE Calendar and deleted all of the GPE Calendar-related files.
  4. Reinstalled GPE Calendar (you'll have to start it once to create a new GPE Calendar database).
  5. Ran Erminig to get my Google Calendar stuff back to GPE Calendar.
...and I haven't had this issue since.

Hope this helps.

Tim

I have a similar problem, the other way round, the calender close without warning after opening up agenda. I am also running gpe-calender .73-21. Anybody experience the same thing?

I take that back... I just went back to view my schedule in March and when I tried to close GPE Calendar, it triggered the error again. Hmmm...

Anyway, if you just continue to click the square hardware button until it closes.

You have to go to menu/close to have it close the first time. Not the x. Works every time (for me).

Isn't it supposed to stay open to be able to notify any alarms you have set?

So far as I can tell, I have no alarms set.

However Menu/Close does the trick, thanks for that.
