bit of a strange one i know but thought i would ask.

my big fat sausage fingers really struggle with the full stop key location. When even i go to hit space bar i normally hit full stop.

its becoming so so annoying, Im for ever going back and removing them


is there a way to change its location?

You can change its location, or you can do like me and have a larger spacebar.

I have attached a zip with the modded english vkb to this post.

Just copy the xml to /home/user/.config/meego-keyboard/layout/ then select English(MD) for the keyboards list in Settings>Time&Language>Text Input> Installed

Yes, you can mod the keyboard. The xml files are set up so you can designate the position of each key. It simply will add keys in the order of the xml, per each row defined.

Simply locate the " <key><binding label="."/></key> " part of the xml, and move that to other parts of the keyboard to the location you desire.

When you're happy, I still recommend you add it as a separate keyboard and not overwrite the original, although nothing is wrong/dangerous in doing that.

Download the zip straight to N9, and extract it to /home/user/MyDocs. Use terminal;
devel-su
pass is rootme
cp /home/user/MyDocs/*.xml /home/user/.config/meego-keyboard/layouts
