hello guys.

first of all...i'm new here. so hello

but sadly for me...i've bricked my N900. it happens when i'm wanted to delete the files of NitDROID that allocated at /home.

i didnt realise that i'm at the 'root' directory. so i deleted the 'bin' files. then my N900 cannot boot. it stucked at the Nokia logo and shut down itself. that's the cause of being smart-***

so what's the solution? flash it or there's other way?

kindly reply if you have the solution and sorry for my bad English.

thanks in advance

Just for the record, your machine is not bricked. You screwed the software on it. Flash it.

Dont play around with it until the battery is getting dead. Re-flash asap.

Try here, the Flashing Wiki page. Just make sure you follow it step by step.

thanks again

i noticed that the flasher somehow didnt work well with Windows 7 x64. currently i'm using Windows 7 Enterprise x64. but there's a guide there saying it will work by disabling signed driver.

do you think mine will work?

Yes, it should I believe you could turn that off by pressing F8 on boot

I heard there are lots of problems working from Win/ 64 bit. Can't confirm it because I don't run that system. However, you might be better (quicker) off by downloading and burning a Linux live CD.

Rob1n has posted a guide on youtube, explaining how to do that.

Don't worry, it sounds more complicated than it is.
