EDIT: i read that wrong....if you're using win7, there's no easy way to flash n900. I am using windows 7 and the only thing i thought of is installing a winXP virtual machine and flash my n900 using that.
I have tried flashing the N900 in Ubuntu, Windows XP, and Windows 7. All of them use the same instructions (except in Ubuntu where you type "sudo" and a space before the command), and all are working and easy. Perhaps you are talking about Windows 7 64-bit that is difficult to use the flasher on, and not Windows 7 32-bit?

Hi Bebek,

Please read these posts to make it easier for you.

If still you can't do it correctly, there is a YouTube video tutorial in the Wiki Page itself. Just watch it and follow it. [/QUOTE]

Friend,

Yun bang mga ni-download mong image files eh nasa same location where you are running the flasher command? The error message you got means (in human language): "I can't find the file that you are asking me to use for flashing."

read the instructions carefully maybe at least three times before going forward. raise question on that thread as there are more active users there, but still drop by at TMO.

Friend,

When you hit "Enter" on your computer's keyboard to initiate the command:

1. Is your N900 turned off?
2. Does it contain enough charged/is the battery charged well?
3. Is the N900's keyboard slid out open?
4. Did you press and hold the "U" key (letter "U") on the N900's keyboard before hitting Enter on your computer keyboard to initiate the command?
5. Is your Nokia N900 plugged to your computer to the front USB port (or a USB hub/extension)? Or is it plugged in to your main USB ports (yung mga USB ports sa likod ng CPU if you're using a desktop computer)?
6. Can you share to us a screenshot of your Windows Explorer showing the contents of "flasher-3.5" folder? I just need to check something just to be sure.

EDIT: By the way I appreciate you reading the threads...pero may Wiki Page din for Flashing the N900. Nabasa mo ba yun? May YouTube video din dun na puwede mong panoorin. Eto, Ultra-Newbie Guide for Flashing the N900: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O54KdLvTA2U

Selling N900 for E7? Naku sayang ang pera mo, just my opinion. May inaabangan ang mga members dito na medyo "more updated" version of the N900 (will be called N9 or N950), you might want to wait for that first. On second thought...well depende rin kung mapanghihinayangan mo or hindi. It will depend kung ano ang hilig mong gawin sa isang gadget/device. As for me, since I got the Nokia N900 I really enjoyed it and I plan to stay with it for a year or two.
