i followed the VFS Cache Pressure indication and lowered it to 10. It seems it works - tweaking done via swappolube. Though it changes to 100 after a reboot it goes well here on my N900.

Swappolube displays a warning that you need to press "Save" if you want settings preserved between reboots.

It flashes up as a thin overlay on the screen - if you look away for a second you'll miss it.

EDITED: Actually, no, sorry, it doesn't, it comes up as a warning until dismissed. What version of swappolube do you have? I've got 1.4 - if you press "Store" it just goes ahead, if you press "Apply" it warns to press Store if you want permanent changes.

did the apply button and then went to Xterm - root - reboot and when it starts the VFS is back to 100.
