Hi enybody knows how to make a python plugin (file-ora.py) for Gimp work. I've tried to follow some instructions on this site:
http://registry.gimp.org/node/18435
but no luck so far on making it work.
It says something about executable permissions, how do i tjek that and if no permission how to change it?
I moved the folder in chroot and when i look in the gimp plugin folder in lxde filemanager (/usr/lib/gimp/2.0/plug-in) it's there. It seems that all the other py plugins have a twin file with a .pyc extension, what is that?
I would really like this plugin to work cause then i can open files from mypaint in gimp nativly on my N900 and edit my drawings on the go
Any help is welcome

e: Did some more googling and solved it So feel free to delete this thread

I Googled, and I found this thread! Can you tell me what you did?

The problem I'm having is that I have no idea how to make the plug-ins folder writeable. I can't drag the python script into it!

You need to move your plug-in to this folder:
/usr/lib/gimp/2.0/plug-in
Then in xterm chmod it:
cd/to/folder/above and do this:
chmod +x /filename
This is just on top of my head and afaik. Maybe you need a 755 after the +x.

Regards Dousan...

Ps: I've moved on to android so am a bit rusty in xterm commands
