BBC iplayer not working again.
I can get past the fact that BBC is forcing a redirect to a mobile site by playing around with different user agents but I cannot get any content to play.
Anyone managed to work around?
Anyone care anymore???

Thanks,

Yeah. I found this out the other day as well. It won't even let you access the site anymore. It just says "your mobile is not supported". So annoying. I tried changing the reported flash version to android and dektop. Neither worked. I also tried hiding browser agent and changing to desktop. No luck there either. Looks like we've been cut-off. Very annoying.

Not tried BBC iPlayer for a while but still seems to work on the following site with the user agent detailed below; but stutters more than I remember it.

Site:
http://www.bbc.co.uk/mobile/iplayer/

User agent:
Mozilla/5.0 (Linux; U; Android 2.2; en-us; Nexus One Build/FRF91) AppleWebKit/533.1 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/4.0 Mobile Safari/533.1

Also using AND 10,1,61,0 flash version.

How do I check the flash version?

Thanks,

no need to change your user agent or anything. just go to http://bbc.co.uk/iplayer/bigscreen

you must to install application tweak flash version from app.manger also you need to have repository extras-devel to install this application. From him you can change version on flash(andriod,linux...).However just go to the link which is post and your problem is solved. The big problem for me i am not from uk.and only i can to use, it is a radio.Sorry for my english

Thanks. That helps with browsing the iplayer site, e.g. to see what episodes are available, but playback seems to be very jerky for me.

Thanks,
Download the tweak flash plugin as mentioned above. I don' t think the flash version is important to performance though, just try changing the user agent.

BBC iplayer is not 100 per cent smooth on my phone with this method but certainly much better than the big screen link above.

This has worked for me.
I mainly use for streaming radio so this is perfect.

I wonder how long before BBC close all loop holes?
