Please, I would really appreciate a response. I want to benefit from the CSSU, but I just can't lose e-mail functionality.
I'm also getting continuous (seems to happen every few minutes) crashes of modest. modest also jumps to high CPU (>70%) every few seconds.

This is a complete blocker to regular phone usage.

Is it possible to wind back modest to a previous version?

it would be nice if the same letter grouping can be implemented in the contacts app.. the use of this in phone app is limited to phone calls only. i mean what if i want to send an sms to somebody, so i open contacts, click on the letter grouping (i seldom use the hw kb when sending sms and IMs), search for the contact then click on it.

is contacts app closed source?

would also be nice to implement this in the media player artist list.

is there any danger using faster application manager to do these updates because if i try using ham it complains about needing to connect phone to pc and run nokia suite. However it seems to have worked fine with FAM.

I there any chance to anyone who is having problems with modest to to join IRC #maemo-ssu so I can give him instructions on how to install modest-dbg, how to attach debugger to modest and how to make a trace of function calls (backtrace) when modest segfaults. Or you can do it by yourself if you know how and attack backtrace here.

Thanks

Nice to have an update. I have one bug to report:

vlc-remote crashes totally soon after launch without warnings or notifications.

If I start the program from terminal it does not connect to pc.
