I've noticed that my contacts birthdays don't show up in the calendar. They do on the N900...

Yes, this is a limitation added in a sales release (I believe (wait, no. I hope ) we will fix it in the update). Contacts sync can be enabled only for a one MfE account at the same time.

Noted, will check this issue.

Hi! It's the same over here. Our IT dept. turned on the Exchange option for "ignore client certificate authentication" and MfE is now working fine. I personally (meaning: our IT dept.) can live with this solution but there's definitely something in the MfE client...

Another request that I have: What I missed the most in MfE Client for N900 was the feature that was present on the E90: you could create private appointments in the phone's calendar and sync them to Exchange. Support for private appointments was dropped in N900 and it seems to be missing from N9 as well! Bummer.

Other than that, MfE on N9 is sooo much nicer than on N900...

Hi I'm struggling to get my MFE configured. I'm using a 64Gb unlocked retail N9.

Originally I had a problem with the certificates, and I installed the whole tree from server to CA, using the Settings->Security-Certificates menu item. Now I can manually verify the server using acmcli thus:

acmcli -T common-ca -t ssl-ca -t ssl-user -v owa.ajilon.com.au:443
fa0395361a464c90b9f5dfe079fb86f5a53b1648 owa.ajilon.com.au
trust chain(3):
d2c4b0d291d44c1171b361cb3da1fedda86ad4e3 Go Daddy Class 2 Certification Authority/The Go Daddy Group, Inc./US
+->fdac6132936c45d6e2ee855f9abae7769968cce7 Go Daddy Secure Certification Authority
+->fa0395361a464c90b9f5dfe079fb86f5a53b1648 owa.ajilon.com.au
Verified OK

NOTE: I need to specify -t ssl-user, but not -t ssl-ca as the Top CA is already pre-installed in common-ca.

When I try to configure MFE, I still get a "Connection to server failed" error messages.

I have enabled logging as per your advice, however this is never getting to the log files. They just show the normal traffic for my other accounts - One gmail account, and an IMAP account.

-rw-r--r-- 1 user root 25262 Oct 17 22:14 msgindexer.log

As you can see, nothing has been logged since 22:14, which is just shortly after my reboot. There is no reference to the MFE traffic in there, as the account has not been created as I always fail during the setup phase.

Any ideas ?

I am connecting to an Exchange 2003 server, and all my colleagues with Android/iOS can connect to the same server.

When I try to connect to the Web Mail account https://.../exchange, the browser warns me twice that it cannot connect securely, but on the third attempt it lets me in, and does establish an SSL session.

I suspect that the browser/mfe are not honouring certs held in the ssl-user domain.

Thanks,

Euan.

This would be a big problem, if I buy N9 and cant connect to my server. How the hell does iphone do it without a hitch?

I am having no problems with the mail for exchange client, it's ok. I am very disappointed that there's no flagging messages though, that's a real misstep for me on MfE, it means I won't be using this device for work - I get loads of mail and it's a necessity for me.

Any work on if it will be implemented?

Simple "Don't know" is the response. We have done MfE part. If in order MfE to work you need Afaria client to be working on N9, thsi is the question to Afaria (Sybase?) colleagues.

And as not being marketing dude, I don't have any idea about this client.
