My package from Australia came in today. Dubai is scheduled for Wednesday.

Finally got one. And noticed... I beat the 1000th post. HA!

I'll be updating the community purchase thread in a bit. Have a couple of options and how others may get one too.

For the record, this is a 16gb Black... 64gb is still eluding me.

Not got the N9 yet but imagine there is no real difference.
If you only just discovered that then you will love the 3D version http://maps.nokia.com/3D/

No linux support
So no viewing on an N9

The N9 can support some secure element ?

Sorry, Nokia didn't answer today. Not a good feeling about that. Other e-mails were answered fast.

+1. I have both. N8 is a fine device, it is more consumer oriented for better or worse. More apps if you care. Touch screen operation is way better than on the N900, screen res. is lower but it is very crisp. Battery life - N900 doesn't come close. HDMI. USB support. It is no replacement for the N900 but I tend to think I prefer the N8 as my daily device for calls, casual web-browsing, and taking great pictures, but I also need my n900 for more technical tasks. Also, and I hate to say this, but N8 irritates me way less than N900 And Symbian Belle looks fantastic, can't wait until it is released.

I think it's been stated around that the N9 did not, sadly.

there's a version of the 3dmaps which you don't need a plugin for, uses webgl and is just as good i think. not sure if the phones on the market can handle it though.
