karam's batterypatch is my patches, he included my scripts in his patch, they are the same. Except that my patch is a bit more powerful, and uses dynamic CPU scaling.

My app's main aim is to install the patches, but since dynamic CPU scaling patch requires a profile to load when the device is active, I created ready made profiles, with ones that support HD playback/recording. Then users such as mr.pingu (who is actually now viewing the thread ) requested the ability to creat a profile and set parameters in a GUI, so did that. Then other people claimed that they wanted to use their own profiles, so guess what?...did that too!

every one
if you want simpler no headacks just use batterypatch
and batterypatch has the conversation problem solved
but ammyt's one still have it

and if you want to watch HD with batterypatch just edit the profiles
by changing DSP to 600

and how many threads are created for the same subject by you ammyt?
lol

WTF?!
You just come out and screem crap? Please don't do so as you did in the old thread, this is called hijacking - reported.

Firstly, What conversation problem? Do you mean "convert"? Converting what?
Don't do that! Blatantly changing the values to 600 will fck your device, remember, changing them to 600 with raising the voltage is, not the best thing you can do.

Secondly, your post shows deep disrespect of my work, if TMO is going to host more figures like you then I bet devs will be leaving sooner than you imagine.

Oh and one thing, it is called headaches not headacks WTF?

i didn't see any differences between this and between karam's batterypatch except that batterypatch from karam is moooore stable than this one

only names names names pretty nice names [Blood Kain, Optimum..etc

and i also prefer karam's batterypatch because it is simpler more editable and more effective

ammyt you mistakes on your script
you don't actually need the line that checks for proximity sensor

and one more thing
what about if i unlocked the screen using the power button not the lock button
heh this will make you use underclock profile while it supposed to use overclock

you didn't solve this problem as karam did
i recommend every one using batterypatch to stay using it

Sorry for being offensive, but that's the goddamn truth. Karam's first "battery script" was about only changing the vfs_cache_pressure to 10 when locked and 100 when unlocked. karam's patch uses the default voltage values while mine uses ULV (ultra low voltage) profile.

I soon then released a battery patch which did the above plus dynamically reducing the cpu clock + voltage when locked, and bumping them back when unlocked, + pausing greedy processes such as browserd, calender-ui... when locked which save humongous battery life, and then resuming them when unlocked.

Karam then kindly contacted me about including these scripts in his battery patch, and I was like "WTH I didn't invent these, I just packed them up use them!." Then he officialised his patch to be batterypatch etc etc. Effectively, I had made the battery scripts for him.

Karam is a valuable jewel of the maemo community, and he fought lots of critisism when releasing his cgroups patch, + he's syrian, which probably means that he's one of my relatives from some ancient ancestors of me so I didn't mean to deteriorate his reputation in what I said, it's just what it is.

So, you're neither karam nor ammyt, and simply know nothing, so you know what to do.
EDIT: Lol, reading the above, dude you're a kid.

Is there a guide anywhere on like DSP levels and stuff, to know what's safe to do? I'll download it when you answer. I'm using power-kernel, is that going to conflict?

O btw, Seker_94 seems to be an uneducated fool lol.

import settings from text file..
the dynamic cpu/vfs/etc thingy is confusing..
it should be like.. freq settings -> volt -> max freq/min freq -> upthreshold etc etc *nice load and powersavebias *i use it* -> extras *scaling, vfs etc..

is the locked freq. standard for all or is it from the custom settings we pick?

and the custom volts thingy is a lil complicated.. can you make it look like how we set an alarm?
like 3 sections, one is freq then 2nd section of volt and 3rd for dsp is one dialogue box.. instead of separate menus, this is a bit more convenient..
and naming custom profile and saving so we can later use it.. and a seperate section for custom profiles..
and the help thingy said something about /shared/kernel..../req or something.. which is for editing a stock profile.. which doesn't exist.. even if we create it, how do we select it from the app?

and one more thing, after unistalling, cant use locked/unlocked commands from dbus-scripts-settings :/

and a big THANKS! for your effort

I'll compile a guide soon, power-kernel is actuall the no.1 requirement!

A feature request, FINALLY!

What you do is basically choosing the frequency that you want to use, its corresponding voltage, and its corresponding dsp rate. Then repeat this for any other freq you want to use, then hit proceed.

I can't include the powersave bias in the previous steps. If you want powersave bias, then this is how it will go.

configuring freqs --> voltage --> dsp rate --> repeating that for any other freqs you may want --> proceed to extras --> choose/configuring the extras stuff like (powersave bias...)

Shall I add it?

Haha thanks mate =) Only thing is I ****ed up my N900 pretty much, don't know what I did but it's slow as a running penguin, and I can tell you penguins don't run that fast xD

Next week if I can find the time I will completely reflash and dig in this app and the scripts to see what it really does and see were improvements can be made

Don't listen to seker_94 he is just talking ****. I only see posts of him were he is praising the battery patch and speedpatch ;p

Have a nice day and good luck!

@mr_pingu
Waiting eagerly then!

I wonder where Estel is now, he usually is the number 1 critic of everything anyone does so I can make use of that guy...

There we go:

I started by exploring the build your own section as I see myself as a person who knows enough about overclocking and undervolting. I didn't explore it thoroughly for now, Also I didn't test other things but this is a start. The first thing that strikes me was: I wanted to select in use frequencies all at once, so as a check list and then later all my selected frequencies would pop-up and I chose the desired voltage. This is the way I expected it to be as IMO this is more convenient than select frequency voltage and dsp and then go back to the first menu and start over again with the next frequency. In my opiniun it would be easier to ask:

What frquencies should used?
Checklist, with all frequencies and you can check multiple
( )125
(x)250
(x)500
( )550
( )600
( )700
(x)750
( )805
( )850
(x)900
( )1000
( )1100
( )1150

Next dialog:
All selected frequencies popup for asking the voltage so in this example
What voltage should be used for 250MHz
30
What voltage should be used for 500MHz
36
What voltage should be used for 750MHz
40
What voltage should be used for 900MHz
50

Next thing dsp rate: same as previous
What dsprate should be used for 250MHz
360
...
...
What dsprate should be used for 900MHz
600

Then next dialog:
Select SR
( )VDD1
(x)VDD2

Next dialog
Choose sampling rate
nice slider like you already have

Next dialog
Enable powersave bias
yes or no

Next dialog
Choose up threshold
Nice slide like you already have

Next dialog
Ignore nice load
yes or no

=========================
Hope you get the idea On every dialog there should be a next button instead that next is in the list, thats quite confusing for newer users I know my way round but I think the way I just presented is much more systematic and consistent than now and ofcourse easier to understand.

Now I get some sleep and you will hear from me another time

almost forgot to say: A bug: 125Mhz is always included, as it isn't on the list you can't select voltage or ignore it but when you look at the actual config file it's not on avoided frequencies
