After finally flashing PR_1.1 to recover from my failed upgrade, I have a weird behaviour:
shortcut to phone call / camera / email is not working anymore. If I swipe and hold on lock screen, I get a black rectangle on the bottom, but with no icon.
On the other hand, in the application view, I have two camera, two phone, two messages icons... Can't suppress either one.

Any idea ?

open terminal
Code:
devel-su -
rootme (or password you've set for root)
apt-get --reinstall install mp-harmattan-001-pr
Also change your language to en_US

EDIT: more precisely mp-harmattan-yourregioncode-pr
you can find it out using

Code:
apt-cache search mp-harmattan

@jabis: thank for the tip. But...

Reinstall and switching language forth and back did not help: still double icons and empty shorcut bar

just for the heck of it - try

Code:
apt-get update
apt-get upgrade
also ! make sure you don't have any beta/sdk apt lists in your repos - only the official ones - otherwise you're bound to get into trouble

EDIT: debian installation methods usually favor the first in system getting presedence

so clear out with # comments the community repos' and whatnot from /etc/apt/sources.list.d/<files>

No, I have no custom repository.

I finally just used the "reset settings" features, and this worked. So it is fixed for me
I would be curious however to know what this menu entry is triggering on a system level ?

I also have a small sound on boot. I thought : cool, a more discrete startup (to be true, I find the nokia sound on startup quite intrusive, and moreover it does not sound so good, feel cheap).

So, this little beep means "need update ?"

Nop. Just did the flashing to PR_1.1 to recover from previous state (not booting due to partial upgrade).
