Hi all,

Just wondering what everyone is using to protect their N9?

I was using the provided silicon skin which is great but it does not protect the screen so I purchased the Nokia CP-553 (http://www.expansys-usa.com/nokia-n9...-black-223060/) which arrived yesterday however its a bit snug and is difficult to get the phone in and out of.

I also noticed that in order to get the phone into/out of the case you usually have to push it in from the top or botton which given the location of the USB cover can mean you will put extra pressure on it and potentially bend it... Also the CP-553 is so tight you cannot have the silicon skin/cover on the phone too which makes me nervous as it could easily be dropped during use!

Anyone else noticing that their USB cover is getting bent? I was looking for spare parts and noticed that a store in finland is selling them but as I cannot read finnish I am not sure if they would even ship to the states... http://www.klc.fi/fin/tuotteet/Nokia...K-ASSY-02698S8

Don't drop your phone or put it in your pocket with your keys.

The cp-553 looks nice, but it is too tight and puts a lot of pressure on the side buttons eventually loosening them and making them all wobbly and clacky. But it's made of leather and as such, you can use your fingers to stretch it. Be careful and don't overdo it tho, there is no way to shrink it.

It's a POS cover. Better to avoid it. Go to a local market or phone accessory store and get a simple unbranded pouch with a zipper that fits better. Oh and keep the silicone case on. It will prevent scratches on the camera side.

Edit: are you closing your USB cover all the way. I was sure mine was bent but then I found out it is necessary to use the tip of the fingernail to "click" it in place.

Just close the cover with your finger, then look for the little bump at the base of the cover. Place the tip of your nail near the inside of the bump and push hard until you hear a click.

When opening the cover, use the tip of the nail placed just outside of the bump (near the 3.5mm jack) to unlock it and then open it as usual.

I agree. The case that came with the phone is one of the best cases I've seen on a phone. Very snug, doesn't get in the way of swiping or hinder any of the keys. If I can get different colors that'd be great.

You CAN get different colours. I know of one webstore that sells those in norway, but I havent been looking for them either. Theyre probably everywhere, also most likely found on ebay from users who dont want to use their case.

Or if any N9 owners here have a different colour than your own phone and want to swap cases, thats a good story right there.

Maybe start a thead?

I'm using the old nokia socks as the case...

It's just about large enough for N950, so should be ok for N9 as it's much slimmer...
