After a very smooth upgrade of my N810 to the new firmware I am able to use Internet Call to make SIP calls. Unfortunately every call is dropped after exactly 50 seconds. I've tried various keep alive settings to no avail.

Any thoughts what this can be?

I'm going the easy route and blame the router/firewall. Make sure the proper ports are open for SIP.

It happened with the beta-version of os2008 also. it's a bug in skype.
if you searched the threads you could also found out others reporting this problem.

I'm not aware of a fix.
I think the skype packages are made by skype not maemo/nokia.

if you find a workaround, post it here

Well, that may or may not explain it. When he said "SIP", I assumed he meant the built-in client. If it's actually Skype, though, I can't help there. Don't use any of that proprietary garbage.

No, it's not Skype but the "Internet Call" app under the communication menu.

Interesting ... try to tap on the screen while using SIP.
The best why is to keep refreshing a google.com page, maybe it's a powersaving feature. See if you can go beyond those 50 seconds

I got it working correctly by creating a new SIP account without touching the advanced features This is really really cool
