Sorry but it worked just fine with me. You might have to chmod 755 once you put grob in usr/bin. Search through this thread for instructions.

Already done that. The permissions are set fine, I just cannot seem to get my browser to start if I make any changes to GROB

Maybe the grob files differ from each individual's N9 and thus wouldn't be 100% compatible if taken from another user's N9?

I'm sure you tried rebooting the N9.

Edit: I think the grob file I gave you somehow got changed when uploaded to Dropbox. I'll try uploading another using mediafire.

Ughh. I tried using mediafire and downloaded Grob as a test. For some reason when looking at info of original one that I edited which works for me, it shows it as a UNIX file whereas when I download it from dropbox etc it shows a regular file. However the file opens just fine when I choose to open it with Hex Fiend and all values look normal. Maybe that slight alteration is causing the problem?

http://dl.dropbox.com/u/52619173/grob.Andoird2.3.7.zip

Download, unpack. Copy to N9 /home/user via sftp
SSH into N9, root command line:
Code:
rm /usr/bin/grob
cp /home/user/grob.Android2.3.7 /usr/bin
mv /usr/bin/grob.Android2.3.7 /usr/bin/grob
chown root /usr/bin/grob
chmod 755 /usr/bin/grob
May or may not need to reboot.

Working iOS grob. Can't test BBC iPlayer though, I live in the US.

Here's the grob. Same procedure as before.

Good luck. Let me know if it works. Google Music still throws a security error with the iOS UA.

Edit: Sigh, of course, youtube doesn't work now, when I click play I get told to enable videos in Safari settings. We need some sort of website specific UA.

I have tested BBC iPlayer with the Android grob and here are the results:

Main page works fine

But trying to play a video gives this

Will try the iOS version now

Here are results from the iOS version:

I get the same main page as on the Android Version

But on the play page I get one step further

Unfortunately, the "Click To Play" button doesn't do anything
