I live in the US would I be able to make a warranty claim? If so would they replace the phone?

What is the region of your phone? You can make a warranty claim through that region or you can contact palco and see what they can do for you...

Exactly the same happened to me. It turned it in for warranty. But since 2 weeks there is no news if Nokia will accept this case as warranty...

I also had scratches on the back from my original cover!

That was sad.

1. If u have the warranty [which I guess u haven't being in CA] u could get a repair/replacement.
2. If u aren't covered - u could spend a bomb on it's repair.
3. Ur best bet is on the following:
....a) Use super-glue over that hairline crack.
....b) Buff it & polish it.
....c) Encase it with the supplied soft-case hereon.

If this happened to me I'd just put the phone in the soft shell that came with it (CC-1020) and ignore the problem. I doubt the crack is going to be larger, just protect the phone.
