I connect my nokia n900 to my pc it just plays a sound and nothing when i go to my computer it doesnt show it but when i go to devices and printers it shows it but i cant acces the files

Doees the n900 show "connected via usb"? have you closed easy debian with the shortcut?

When i press on the clock it says: USB connected charging only

When you connect to your PC, it should pop up a menu to ask if you wish to connect in PC Mode or Mass Storage mode.

If you select neither, you will not be able to access the contents of the phone.

Thats not entirely true, you can still activate the USB mode trought the status-menu (clicking on the clock) after you dismissed the USB dialog.
But if this doesnt work, search the forum for this problem, i've seen this before and they solved it. I believe it had something to do with the media-file tracker running and thus locking the MyDocs partition.
