it seems to help, I have less wakeups.
but dss and core is still on!?

but now w/o kps, I get a okay-requester with "Package kernel-power-settings not found" on startup and everytime I unlock my phone!?

Do you know where it come from?
Well, with dss and core constantly on it is of no surprise that your battery is drained very fast. Anyway, my proposal to uninstall kps was because there were some users having the same problem and removing kps have helped them. Seems like your problem is different.

Do you have some tweak/optimization/whatever scripts installed (besides batterypatch)? As AFAIK having kps not installed should not lead to messages you see.

Yes, I read the other threads.
I also have bought another battery but powertop output isnt very different.
Do you know which programs can cause dss and core to be on?

I already tried to search for the cause of it in /etc/event.d/ scripts but w/o success. I don't have batterypatch installed, I had it many months ago but removed it again some days later.
Any idea how/where I could find the program which get notified on unlocking the phone?

Just my 2 cents, but can you tell us the output of kernel-config show in xterm?

sure:
Code:
current kernel configuration:

...and dmesg output, please.

EDIT: On the side note - DO NOT USE custom voltages with SR enabled, dsp profile fits exactly your frequency range, you can lower DSP frequencies if don't want 600 for DSP for MPU@805

its strange, I loaded the normal dsp profile, but "kernel-config show" displays different values!?

Is it because I uninstalled kps?

btw: I found out that the maxcpu widget caused the okay requesters!

and dmesg output is attached.

EDIT:
I reinstalled kps but "kernel-config show" shows these values:
Code:
active frequencies: 250:24,180 500:41,360 550:54,400 600:60,430 720:60,520 805:50,600 850:60,600 900:60,600 950:60,600 1000:60,600 1100:72,600 1150:72,600
although I loaded the dsp profile with these values:
Code:
FREQS="0:30,90 125:30,90 250:38,180 500:48,360 550:54,400 600:60,430 720:60,520 805:60,600 850:60,600 900:60,600 950:60,600 1000:60,600 1100:72,600 1150:72,600"
The voltage values are different for 250, 500, 805 MHz!
why?

EDIT2:
I did another "kc show" and some voltage values get even lower!?
Code:
active frequencies: 250:24,180 500:36,360 550:39,400 600:41,430 720:46,520 805:50,600 850:60,600 900:60,600 950:60,600 1000:60,600 1100:72,600 1150:72,600
Attached Files
File Type: gz dmesg.txt.gz (8.9 KB, 107 views)

Just wanted to update you with the latest info.
My battery consumption is normal again!
I reduced my 9 desktops to two empty desktops, then powertop reported normal values, dss and core wasnt ON anymore and about 75% in c4 state. So everything okay. Then I loaded an older backup with DesktopActivityManager with only some minor differences to before.
Then tried powertop again and my problem is still away!?
So Im happy with my n900 again!

I also have this problem.
Installed kp50 from extras-devel.
When I issue a kernel-config load dsp it will load /usr/share/kernel-config/dsp. (I didnt alter it or anything).
Which has 805:60:600 in its list of frequencies.

But after loading it, kernel-config show will list 805:50:600 in its active frequencies.

How come?

EDIT:

Nevermind its due to the smartreflex thing.
Turned them both off and now its all good
