Got mine in january 2010 as part of the nokia/nielson usage trial bonus i got to keep it when the usage trial was up. My version is 2101. can overclock safely to 1150, no problems with keyboard or usb (filed teeth off charger and data leads, very careful with it) never been dropped but one scratch to bevel from wedding ring whilst in pocket. No dead pixels

My 2204 fell with the charger inside so the usb broke, i sent it to Nokia and yesterday got a brand new matte keyboard n900 with the 2101 revision.

@Alfred,

Oh, OK. Would you mind sharing a bit of details as to how you managed to "convince" them to give you a N900?

Just want to be on the safe side if it actually happens to me one day...

@Alfred,

I ended up ordering a new N900 from the shop you mentioned. It was advertised as having QWERTY keyboard, so I assumed it was the US keyboard.

I just received it yesterday and it's actually a SPANISH version (!). I happen to be spanish , but I actually would have preferred a layout with 4 arrow keys.

Anyway, thanks (indirectly) for the shop recommendation.
BTW if anybody in DE wants a N900 (possibly spanish version lol) I can give the link to the shop. They sale it for ~EUR 240. It even came with a DC-11 portable charger..

On-topic: the new one I got has hw revision 2101. Looks OK although the sliding mechanism + the screen lock slider feel a bit "lighter" than my 2204 (which is absolutely rock solid).

With the keyboard open if I press around the area where the LED is I hear some "clack" noise. Not really bothering, but given that this is my spare N900 I might try to fasten the screws a bit. If anyone can spare me the search for info on how to do that I would appreciate it a lot
