Hi.

I did something a little silly. I installed icewm from debian lenny packages.

Now I'm trying to kill hildon-desktop, hildon-home, and hildon-status-menu.

I've been able to send hildon-desktop to the grave by doing:
Code:
sudo /etc/init.d/hildon-desktop stop && sudo killall hildon-desktop && icewm --replace
Unfortunately, whenever i try to kill hildon-home, or hildon-status menu, they just respawn.

How do I make them stop?

as root
killing
dsmetool -k /usr/bin/hildon-status-menu

restart
dsmetool -t /usr/bin/hildon-status-menu

and the same for hildon-desktop and hildon-home
