I ported globulation 2 to maemo N900. The game is available in extras-devel.

Globulation 2 is an innovative Real-Time Strategy (RTS) game which reduces micro-management by automatically assigning tasks to units.

This games was ported without patching. The game scaled down to 800x480 and uses mostly the left mouse button. You have to use the keys for map scrolling. The speed seems to be fine. Audio works.

The game is started by a script as the resolution and some other option has to be defined. The scripts starts the game with:
/opt/glob2/games/glob2 -G -s800x480 -f
The package is optified.

I have voted thumbs up as it seems to work OK, but I see that it's taking about 2 Mb of rootfs space, maybe due to one of its dependencies.

Could you check what is not completely optified?

This could be caused by libgl1. I think all opengl libs are not optified.

Should i remove the dependency of opengl? Maybe i will find someday the time to porting everything to opengl es. But this is not an easy task.

I managed to compile the sources for my N9. The game run fine, as almost the entire game can be played with the left mouse. A virtual keyboard is not available, but it doesnt matter.

Can can i publish my deb files?

here is a link to the files:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/jl2ntmjvc0...meego1_all.deb

https://www.dropbox.com/s/hxoiejv4bj...ego1_armel.deb

You have to do the following as root
dpkg -i glob2-data_0.9.4.4-2.1meego1_all.deb
dpkg -i glob2_0.9.4.4-2.1meego1_armel.deb
apt-get install -f

Hi HolgerN, long time without seeing you.

You can use rzr's share repo for Harmattan until we have a community repo.
