This is very weird.
This is a new n9/64GB version...

its completely new and for what i know there is no password set..
when i goto enable device lock it asks me to enter in a new 5 digit password.

problem: Whatever i enter in doesnt work. it keeps saying invalid. this is PR 1.2

did you by any chance install nitdroid on your n9 ?

I did actually ...

so theres no way to lock my phone now?

yep when you install dual-boot kernel your lock will no longer work

yes, Nitdroid pages hopefully say that when you switch on the openmode, then CAL area is locked and you cannot use normal device lock anymore.
