I need help with my Nokia n9.

I have 2 applications that has 2 icons in the desktop. One is Calendar and Toshl

For Toshl, when I hold the icon to delete it, one icon can be deleted while the other one can't. I tried to delete the icon that can be deleted, but it also deleted the icon that I can't delete.

I think this has something to do with the Shortcuts, application. I still have that application. But now only 3 appears while before 4 of the icons appears and Toshl is one of them.

The next problem is the Calendar app. I didn't do anything and yet it suddenly appeared in my homescreen. I can't delete it also. So now I have 2 icons for both Toshl and Calendar app.

How can I resolve it? I tried using terminal to delete it, but I'm not very good at it. I'm not trying to tweak or do anything with my phone, it just want to remove those duplicate icons. Thank you.

You can go to /usr/share/applications/ to delete it.

I had the same problem you have: two Phone icons in desktop and Phone icon missing from my shorcuts.

I had to reset the desktop information in order to solve the problem.

Download a file manager in the app store. Open the file manager and enable system files. Go to /usr/share/applications/ and delete it.

Filebox is fine, but you need root privileges. It's easier to do it via terminal.

Look at the file name then on terminal:
devel-su
rootme
cd /usr/share/applications/
rm -f (name of app)

It will do it, you're finished, also do a reboot afterwards.

Yes, this is probably the better way to avoid permission problems.

After doing this, will i see a confirmation that it was deleted? Or should I go ahead and restart?
