i would like to know if its possible to have ubuntu fonts in n900 and how to get them in my device,

It is possible. Point your browser to http://font.ubuntu.com/ on the N900 and download them. Then unpack them using file-roller and copy them to /home/user/.fonts or /usr/share/fonts and use theme customizer to apply them to the interface, or just use them in applications

I can confirm it does. It's usually the first thing I do when I reflash.

I actually setup a garage account to upload an ubuntu theme to the repos ; just never go round to it.

I have Ubuntu fonts. So I know it works.
Followed a custom fonts thread and used Theme Customizer.
