Hello All Grus,

I tried to look into forum, it is confusing me a lot. Too much information for me to handle. Can you suggest me briefly, what should I need to make youtube run smooth on my Nokia N800.

Thanks,

You could install mytube.
The problem is that it doesn't work as is. It's possible to fix it but it's not that easy.

I have a different problem than youtube-dl
In fact I think it has an easy solution.

I had mytube in a previous maemo tablet and I downloaded some videos, now I copied the folder to my new n800, from mytube I can see the thumnails, names and categories but when I press play button, mplayer opens the video in a very reduced size and with bad colours.

I suppose the section mplayer in mytube preferences should be changed..
Can you check what do you have there?

If i open the videos directly from mplayer, it fails too
However if if I open from kmplayer and using mplayer as player they are displayer correctly...

I have mplayer 1.0rc1-maemo.29.n8x0

You might try adding
Code:
-cache 4096
to the call to mplayer
