I would like to stress that people with a similar problem should NOT use nail polish remover!! Nail polish remover is mostly acetone, and you should NOT use acetone on plastic!
Most plastics dissolve in acetone, it most likely would make your N9 EXTREMELY ugly.

On ebay you can also buy replacement cases for about 50 euros.
Replacing the case seems relatively easy. Would enable magenta and cyan 64 GB versions of the N9

i'l try to clean my old HE-MAN Action figure with it..
poor thing has ink stain on his leg since i ws a kid(around 15 years)... thanks TMO
